- I'm guessing you have been diagnosed with BPD and you're trying to figure
out how to tell someone you've been diagnosed with BPD.
Just tell them you've been diagnosed with BPD. Tell them how you feel, that sometimes you go into rages and then an hour later you may want nothing more than to spend every waking minute with this person. You're in treatment and you want to get better. Your therapist should be able to help you out more.
Definitely consult your therapist if:
You've done something you know will hurt them, such as cheating on them.
If you've done something you'll both face repercussions from, such as running up your credit cards.
