Borderline personality disorder, loser (7)
I've found that April has a tendency to sabatage her own success. I'm unsure why, because a fear of failure would be realized faster by self-induced failure than it would be through attempted success and still failing.
For instance, she went to a job interview shortly after she moved in with me. Since driving vehicles that require a commercial driver's license is typically a male job role, I was in disbelief that she would ask during an interview if other women work at that location. From everything else she told me, there was no reason she would not have been offered the position. If during an interview an individual asked a question like this, I would be left wondering why they would want to know and thus have reservations about hiring this individual.
I can see how someone may consider a BPD patient a loser, their actions are often illogical, irrational and extremely harmful to themselves or others.
