Borderline personality disorder child or sports (2)
I'm going to take a guess that you're a little league, or perhaps high school coach who may have a child who you think is BPD on your team. The actions of teenagers often resemble the actions of adults with BPD, but there is a huge difference, which I can not explain. Typically, most mental health issues are not even considered unless the person is at least 15 years of age, some at least 18. Please be very cautious with this child, do not make judgements. If you continue to have concerns about the child, please discuss it with his parents before aproching the child. You may also want to contact a mental health professional for additional assistance.
