BPD and unrelated health problems (1)
April will drag out an health problem as long as possible, part of it, I think she fears the outcome. (what if it's cancer?) Perhaps she thinks she's better off not knowing
Another part of it, from my perspective, is she gets extra attention and sympathy because of it.
But mostly, I feel, she likes to use it as an excuse to be "moody". "Well I have a bad headache, that's why I'm yelling at you." "My period's really bad this month". This one in particular, I begged her to see a doctor about this for years.
When she finally did, the doctor prescribed birth control pills to regulate and control her cycle and cut down on the pain.
So of course, she refused to take them, because the drug could make her fat.
As much as I explained that until they figure out how to start packing a couple hundred extra calories into a tiny pill, there's no way the drug alone could make her fat.
